As far as the case goes, I just picked up a xion axp600 and I like it. Needs a couple more fans than it comes with but overall it is a great case for the money. Cable management is great, has 4 hot swappable sata bays, and has no problem with space for big cpu coolers and long video cards.

May not be for everyone but for a budget build i would recommend.

triple channel ram is only supported on socket 1366, and the cpu and motherboard i chose are socket 1156 which only support dual channel ram so a 2X2gb kit is appropriate.

Socket 1366 would obviously be better, but it'll take us out of your price range, unless you downgrade the video card to a 5770, then maybe you could fit in a socket 1366 build... but that would obviously decrease gaming performance as the video card is the important component for gaming.

I think I'm gonna go with the first build that was posted. One other question though... would I be better off going with two smaller (350gig about) hard drives and setting them up in a RAID rather than one big one?
