Apple Macbook Pro - Screen Gone Mad!!!!! Please Help

I have an Apple Macbook Pro laptop screen display which has gone all very strange - it displays diagonal multi coloured lines across the whole screen and totally freezes.

Gadgets are cool until they go wrong like my Apple Mac laptop has! I have an Apple Macbook Pro laptop screen display which has gone all very strange - it displays diagonal multi coloured lines across the whole screen and totally freezes.

What I have tried:
I have restarted the laptop numerous times and reset PRAM but still no good.

If anybody has any idea what could be the cause of this and how to fix it I would greatly appreciate it.

Can you reset the screen, as pick a different resolution? I'm not familiar with macs.

What were you doing before this happened? Or did this happen when you turned it on?

Have you tried connecting the computer to a known good monitor?

You can also check the monitor cable. See if any of the connections have gone bad. If you find out it isn't your monitor or your cable, your card may have gone bad.
