Hi, i have just built a new pc and im having trouble with the speakers.
Basically the speakers can work fine for hours, then just like that 1 will stop working. Usually I can get it going by unplugging and plugging in the speaker green cable into the green output at the back.

Speakers: Logitech LS-21
PC: UD3p55 Mobo, i7 860, 1gb 5750 radeon, 4gb ram, windows 7 - 64 bit

Only thing i note is when i plugged the sound thingy in i plugged in the realtek hd, leaving the ac97 unplugged. Would this be related???

Any ideas would he helpful, atm I assume its faulty speakers.

Its probably what mindover said, but if that doesn't work go ahead and return the sound card as well as the speakers and buy new ones. It could be anyone.

i did some investigating. It seemed that when i fiddle with the speaker wires they went on and off. Pointing to dodgy speakers!

However I tried putting the green plug from the speakers into the headphone jack at front of the box and now no trouble at all!

Is this what you were referring to mindover???
