SyncMaster p2450h 24" LCD

Hello, am having a problem with my LCD i dont know how to fix it I tried almost everything before I reformat my computer the screen does not have like an inch black both side and top and bottom not full screen as it should be. My resolution is 1920x1080 as recommended this should make the screen full screen instead of having black bits both sides and such.

HDMI cable am using for my LCD

anyone know how to fix this?

Are you using ATi?
If so, go to the control panel for your video card (CCC) and go to display options I believe and there should be a toggle for overscan. I believe you need to increase it to the max. I had the same problem on my 23.6' monitor as well.
I don't know about NVIDIA though, you might want to Google "overscan nvidia control panel"

on your monitor try going onto the menu and go down to "Setup" and then select "Image Size" and if set to "Auto" change it to "Wide"
