^^I though it was the placebo effect on mine at first too but when I tried using a system with a conventional drive again I couldn't believe how sluggish it was.

Boot times are only a small part of the picture, the difference is responsiveness is like night and day.
Now that there are a good number of SSD users here I will have to make a thread for the AS SSD Benchmark. From what I have seen it's a much more accurate method of comparing drive performance than HD Tach.

I get sub 30 seconds with my 7200.12 Seagate... Obviously SDD's are faster but i didnt realise i wasnt that bad off.
