That's sequential write speeds. random read and write speeds are more important and that's where the Intel drives dominate.

The kingston drive in purple on these charts is a re-branded X25-V

Doesn't it just use the same controller? I didn't think the intel x28-v was quite as good as the vertex series ssd's.

The only difference between the SSDNow V 40gb and the X25-V is the Intel has TRIM support and the Kingston does not. Supposedly Kingston is going to be discontinuing the V 40g since they couldn't reach an agreement with Intel regarding adding TRIM support to the drive.
