the components im thinking are

is this overkill, am i paying to much or is it right???

its neither perfect nor overkill.

What is it that you plan on doing with this computer? Are you located in Canada? Your prices seem quite high even for Canada.
 
well its far from overkill. If this is going to me used as a gaming machine then that gpu isn;t really gonna cut it, unless it is older, less demanding games. But it also depends on the res and settings you want to play at as well i guess.
 
Remember with a i7 920 you want 3 sticks of ram for triple channel. so go for 3x2gb.

Loose the Zahlman heatsink for something like the sunbeam core contact 120.

What store are you using down under so we can see if we can find a better overall setup for your dollar.
 
yeah i live in ausrtalia.
what are some of the suggestions of other powerful cheap parts and im think of making a gaming rig but not just for gaming.
