Cisco Router Password hack?

I bought a working but used Cisco 1721 router on Ebay, for the purpose of helping me learn how work with the Cisco IOS
Ok I have the router, and the only problem is it was of course used, and the problem is that it has a PW and account already setup from the previous owner. I have searched around on google about how to hack a Cisco Router, and its just so much garbage and I really do not know what to pick from. If this cant be hacked please let me know so I can go ahead and return it.
