i've had that connection jam on me before, my inly option was to rip it off the mobo and buy a new heatsink

Looks like I'm gonna have to do the same... not gonna do it just yet though it can wait a week or so.

Have you tried pushing down the pins and turning counter clockwise?
Then pulling up after that?

Yeah, ive basically tried everything you can try with the clips lol

Remove the video card, sound card, memory, power supply, everything that may impede access to the heatsink. Now grab some needle-nose pliers and turn the tab counter-clockwise. Don't try to break it as you'll probably just damage the mobo, just turn it. Once you get 2 of them loose the last 2 should be easier.

If you still can't turn it get someone stronger and less fearful to help you.
