Evga x58 (i7-920) OC without Power saving?

I was just wondering is it alright to leave on the power saving features if I am OCing? Ive seen many people turn them all off, what is the purpose of that?

Most of the time it's because they can cause instability. What I would recommend is turn them off when you are finding your max OC, then once you've found it turn them back on and see if you are still stable.

Power Saving = Less Power

Overclocking + Power Saving = A Waste of Time

lol interesting analogy there slaymate... and for the most part correct.. been reading instances where it's better to undervolt processors to get more of an OC... not sure at what point that was or if I just misread it
