New Hard Disk, copied using Ghost, not working.

Hey All, picked up a new hard disk, formatted the new drive, copied the current hard disk to the new one and when I try to boot the new drive it locks up on the Windows XP screen. It even does this when I boot into safe mode. I did typically have to select my login on this screen, it gives me nothing. Any ideas??

You have to install windows on the new hd to have it boot on that drive. Or keep your old one and use it as a slave drive. What exactly do you want to do?

I used Ghost to make an exact image of my current Hard Disk with Windows XP present. When I run just the new hard disk it boots to the blue windows screen and freezes. I can't get into Windows at all. Sorry if I was not clear.

Nevermind, I reformatted and recopied and this time it worked fine. Shrug.
