GPU overheating

Hey guys i was playing some COD 5 and i thought just for the heck of it i should check my GPU temp and it was running at 65c. i can turn the fan up and make a lot colder than that but i was wondering if running my fan at 55% is bad for the GPU? what is the normal temperature for a GPU to run at when you are gaming?

65C is actually very normal and safe for load temperatures on a GPU. You should worry if it reaches 75+.

And running your fan at 55% is nothing to worry about. I've been running mine at 80% for the past year, and my graphic card has not had a problem.

Gpus throttle around 100C, so you're wat safe.

ok thanks. if my CPU was running that hot is that a much bigger problem?

CPUs usually have a max safe running temperature of 72C.
