I've got a EVGA Geforce 9600, I bought it last fall. I started having some issues with it which I finally tracked down to it overheating. I ordered a 3rd party cooling fan, got it installed fine, and put the card back in. Ran great, better than ever, for about a month...then one day, out of the blue it stopped. When I turn the computer on I get 3 swift beeps and then no signal to the monitor. I am using an older crap card now to get by until I have $ for a new card...I really wish there was something I could do to diagnose/revive the 9600. Anyone run into this before? Or have any suggestions? Thanks!

You did re-apply thermal paste, right?
Thermal paste is applied to GFX cards

? Guess I got lots to learn :(.

It does sound like it just crapped out. That does happen to any hardware. The reason is unknown sometimes.

Have you tried looking at the card and see if there's any capacitors or chips that blew? If you can get a good picture of it, with the heatsink off, we can look at it to detect that.
