Alright, this is what I've come up with. I'm definately over budget here but am willing to spend this much if it's the best value equipment (value = price / quality).

Questions :
1. Is this processor significantly better then an "AMD Phenom II X2 550 Black Edition Callisto 3.1GHz 2 x 512KB L2 Cache 6MB L3 Cache Socket AM3 80W Dual-Core Processor - Retail $90.99"? And, is it worth the extra $90 for it?
2. Are their ANY product that I've listed in which you would recommend a different product? Why?
3. Finally, are their any well known problems with any of these parts AND/OR compatibility issues here?

...thank you all for the continued help...!

1. That processor is significantly better than the Phenom II X2 550, BUT
It's just a Phenom II X4 955 with .2Ghz higher.
Save yourself the $20-30 and get the Phenom II X4 955 instead of the 965.
2. Yes several.
The Hard Drive:
The Samsung Spinpoint F3 outperforms the Seagate 7200.12 in read/write times.
You may purchase one here for the same price as the Seagate you selected.
SuperBiiz.com - Samsung HD502HJ 500GB SATA2 7200rpm 16MB Hard Drive

The Monitor:
On Newegg the AOC 22" costs $160+17$ Shipping=177$ Total
You can get the same exact monitor on Buy.com for $150 with free shipping
Here.
AOC 2236Vw Widescreen LCD Monitor - 2236VW - Buy.com

The Motherboard:
ONLY and I mean ONLY get the 790X IF you plan on doing Crossfire in the future. (Crossfire does not work with Nvidia cards, such as that 9800 GT you selected, but I'll get to that in a moment.)
Otherwise you should get a 770 motherboard or the Asus 780L

PSU:
The Truepower New 650w is OVERKILL for your system. You WILL NOT need that much power.
Newegg.com - OCZ ModXStream Pro OCZ500MXSP 500W ATX12V V2.2 / EPS12V SLI Certified CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Modular Active PFC Power Supply compatible with core i7 - Power Supplies
That PSU is cheaper by a LOT + it has a promo code so you can get 10% further off until the end of February, and it could power two graphics cards in crossfire quite easily should you ever choose to do that.

The 9800 GT is the best card you can get for $100, but if you clear up some money by cutting back the other things, you should be able to afford a BETTER graphics card.
(Note you can not SLI two 9800 GT's on a 790X motherboard.)
(790X motherboards are only if you want Multiple graphics cards setups, but can only do crossfire with ATI cards)

3. Compatibility Issues...
Nothing that I didn't already cover.

ok how about...

Hows that shaping up?

I'm curious about that video cards (CrossFireX Support?) quality and also the quality of the motherboard.

After doing quite of bit of research over the last few hours I've got a few very specific questions...

1. Is XFX HD-577A-ZNFC Radeon HD 5770 (Juniper XT) 1GB 128-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFireX Support Video Card the best video card I can get for this price bracket? Also, has anyone experienced reliability issues with these cards because I've heard many complaints about drivers with this card. Seems to be a hit or miss based on how all your hardware interacts (most people seem to have issues with i5 setups).

2. Right now I'm leaning towards a GIGABYTE GA-MA770T-UD3P AM3 AMD 770 ATX AMD Motherboard. I feel it will meet my requirements of AM3 & DDR3 1600 as well as having good overclocking options on BIOS. Does anyone think their is any other motherboard in this price slot that is better for the money?

1. especially now that the prices are coming down along with the performance and features you get, I'd say yes it is the best gfx card in that price range ( I mean the 5770 in general not specifically the xfx because prices can vary by brand).

im not really sure where youre getting this info about hardware and driver issues though. You really should have no problems.

2. yea, that mobo looks good. its the same one i listed in my suggestion above.

From all the reviews I've read, it seems more like the 9800 GT and 4850 exchange even blows and are probably equals.
Especially when you take PhysX into consideration. :3
For the times when the 4850 wins, that's nice and all, but PhysX really adds some nice effects to gameplay.

It differs from manufacturer to manufacturer the performance marks between the 9800 GT vs 4850, it was wrong of me to say the 9800 GT was best, but neither is the 4850.
They're practically equals from what I can tell.
