Asus can run 2 graphics card in sli or crossfire. Gigabyte can only run 1.

no sata 6 gb/sec on gigabyte, no pata and no raid.

Asus is a full sized ATX while the gigbyte is a mATX.

And a few other small differences.

What mobo do i need? evga is way tooo expensive what is good value for money considering i will be over clocking it for games, graphics and audio (making music etc.)?

like hef said before an Asus p6t would work the budget. You could also go a evga 757 or gigabye ud3r.

I'm thinking a good nvidia GPU (suggestions?) and i'll be set to commence build early next week depending on delivery. I'm thinking of getting a really good GTX but 2nd hand as i'll never be able to afford the top shelf, i'm really thinking about 3D gaming with this later on..

OK now you have a socket 1366 motherboard (works with i7 920) with a socket 1156 cpu. It will not work.

Also if you go i7 920 you want 6gb of ram or 3x2gb.

Yes Intel makes it hard with i7's in two socket configurations.

1366 = i7 920
1156 = i5 and i7 8xx

Yes but If you got a gts250 to hold you over I would wait for the new dx11 cards from nvidia versus getting a 285 which is dx10.

Or get a card like a ati 5850 / 5870 both are dx11.

And I did not see you change your ram to 3x2gb.

Thanx man. Nvidia 3d doesn't support ati, i need a Nvidia and only afew certain models that will do the whole 3D thing.. (future purposes, not a real big deal for now)

They come in sets of two the 2gb's. I'm lookin for just the 1x2gb 1600 on its own and i can't find any.. Its kinda killing the budget for now.. I can still add another 1x2gb ddr3 g.skill when and if i find it sold separately.
