Manufacturer: Gateway
Model: NV58 Series
Processor: Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU T6600 @ 2.20GHz
Installed memory (RAM): 4.00 GB
System type: 64-bit Operating System
Pen and Touch: No Pen or Touch Input is available for Display
Operating System: Windows 7 Home Premium
My problem is that whenever I insert a DVD, it tries to read it for about 3 - 4 times and then says "Please insert a disk into DVD RW Drive [D:].".
I've tried many different DVD's, each one worked perfectly in a normal DVD player.
I can't even 'explore' the DVD files.
Whenever I insert a blank DVD-R disk, it tells me to 'format' it, where there's 2 options:
- Make it a storage file (like a USB)
- Burn CD/DVD in it
I can burn DVD's perfectly fine, but the problem here is it won't let me watch it in my laptop, it only works when I play the it in DVD players.
[EDIT] Now it doesn't even let me format it. It cannot find the disk for some reason... "Please insert disk into DVD RW Drive [D:]." :\
[EDIT] I haven't made a backup yet for Windows [Windows Backup]. It says "Windows need backup CD/DVD or USB drive to continue" in my important message in 'PC issues'. It says my 'Location: [D:] TSSTcorp CDDVDW TS-L633C' is Disconnected, I dunno' if that helps.
[EDIT2] It's not 'Disconnected' anymore. =]
What are some problems that could've caused/could be causing this?
What is the worst case scenario that I'm gonna' have if I can't fix this?
What is the last resort to fixing this? (ex. System Reformat)
I'm pretty noob at these types of computer problems so I really need help! Thanks!
