It sounds like your cpu is overheating. Using compressed air blow out all the dust in your case, paying close attention to the cpu's heatsink and fan. You should also consider applying a fresh coat of thermal paste to the cpu and heatsink.
Hmm I really dont know... But I have no problems playing games. It just hangs sometimes and turns off occasionally. Oh and it prevents me from installing Windows 7.
