The corsiar you chose was modular. That is why it was so much more. I did a quick check and did not see the 650tx only the 650hx.

If you do not plan on running 2 vid cards then the 550 from corsair would be plenty.

I would much rather have a 550 corsair versus a 650 silver power for the same price.

I plan on buying 2 video cards in the future. I want get to power supply which can whitsand
hd 5850 crossfire so that in the future i dont have to buy better power supply.
So only option right now would be 750W CORSAIR? Seems pretty weird because i saw that u need 600W for crossfire from ati recommendation.

What does 650tx and 650hx mean?
