I recently had a new computer built for me as a gift and the hard drives were set up to be mirrored. Unfortunately, I would rather have the extra space but don't know how to set up the hard drives to be unmirrored. Can anyone give me a quick step by step to change this? I would appreciate it. Thanks.

This would require a reinstall of Windows. It cant be done any other way.

That seems simple enough, but is there anything I would have to do in regards to the hardware itself? Changing cables around on the hard drives themselves or anything like that? And will Windows walk me through it or no?

You will have to make sure that your BIOS is setup not to use RAID configuration. That is what you have now. Other than that it shouldnt be to hard to reinstall Windows. You should see all drives and space when you hit that point of the install.

Thanks... I appreciate your quick response. Hopefully you won't mind if I come back with any other questions I might have.
