burning speeds

i have a lite on 52x cdrw and i burnt a audio cd and it doesn't play very well in my cd player and it only goes up to track 12 in my discman.when i put it in my slower cd drive which is about 24x it doesn't play well either.
is it the speed or the burner???
what's the recommended speed for burning audio cd's???

It might be the type of CD-r you use.

The slower the better. If u burn at 52X, it will be fast, but plenty of errors(duh). There's also a benefit from burning at slow speeds like 8x. CD players will load CDs burned at low speeds faster than those cds burned at higher speeds. Big difference in fact. Did u burn mp3s?

I always burn at 40x instead of 52, because you get a lot less errors

yeah i burnt 128k mp3's and the media was benq

try other cd's

I always use TDK or Traxdata

You should also check the songs your burning. Is it the same song that messes up every time?
