Building my first laptop - Help!

There are none.

As stated above, all the parts in a laptop are proprietary. Meaning they are only compatible with that case and model number. Same thing with a computer from best buy. You wont be able to put together a computer between say a Dell case and an HP motherboard. Most of the cases there are, again, proprietary and only set up to hold that motherboard itself and whatever the computer is to come with.

No, a barebones laptop comes with everything assembled, but still needs a cpu ram and a harddrive. All which basically plugs in.

The issue with laptops is you can nly power and cool them to a certain extent, thus the parts are very scarce. Plus need to fit into the propriatry case.

If you really want to build a laptop, you should look into buy dead laptops of the same models on ebay. then peice them together

There are a few places, but my memory is failing me. Buy yourself a Desktop. You'll save yourself from wasting money.
