This is my current computer. It's pretty much a hand-me-down from my older brothers, who both have better computers but don't actually use it as much for playing games.
I plan to buy parts (or get my brother to, since I can't buy online) I need and take whatever I don't need upgraded from my current computer. This includes the hard drives, optical drives, and I guess the sound card.
So I basically need the motherboard, CPU, GPU, RAM, PSU, and the case.
I've been reading these links but I really don't know what to get.

From the parts in the links, I'm considering getting the following:
Mobo: ASRock N68-S
CPU: AMD Athlon II X2 245 Regor 2.9GHz AM3
GPU: ATI Radeon HD 4850
RAM: 4GB. Isn't there cheaper memory than the ones listed?
Case + PSU: Antec 300 with 430W PSU bundle

Anyone care to give me advice?

comp doesnt look too bad. its got a phenom ii quad and 8 gigs of ddr3 (only 1066mhz though).

if youre going to upgrade the gfx card, youre most likely going to have to upgrade the psu too. it doesnt mention anything about it on hp's site either.
HP® Official Store — Buy the HP Pavilion Elite e9220f Desktop PC direct from HP

you can take off the side panel and look at the sticker on the psu, but its really not likely that its current psu will handle any mid-end cards or higher.

I think I read somewhere that it was 300 watts. >.>
Edit: Opened it, it is indeed 300 watts.

yep, that was to be expected.

so i guess the next step would be to determine how much you want to spend on these upgrades.

I don't really need the upgrade, it's just for future reference should I actually want to upgrade it. No budget limit.
