A64 90nm better or worse than 130nm?

I'm looking to buy an Athlon 64 3500+, and I'm considering whether to buy the 130nm or 90nm verison. I've heard some people say the only difference is that the 90nm version has more heat and uses less power... but what about numbers? Does the 90nm version get a performance boost?

Also will the Asus A8V Mobo support both 130nm and 90nm?

do a search, i posted this yesterday. the 90 nm have a crap load more of transistors, so its more overclockable (from ag3). If u keep stock, there is no performance change. its the same.

and yes the asus mobo will support both, but i would look into the abit av8 3rd eye. its a better mobo IMO

Yep! With the decrease (90nm) there are millions of more transistors, therefore the CPU is capable of reaching much higher frequencies.

The 90nm based CPUs are intended for the 3800+ and above. However, they will still be released in lower frequencies.
