How do I create a dual book with Windows XP & Windows 2000
using Maxtor's Maxblast3 software on a single new drive?
Maxblast3 software will allow me to make a single partition
on the drive. I don't know if it will allow make 2 partitions
one single drive. Does any know if it does?? If so, does anyone
know the proceedure using Maxblaster3 software for 2 partitions
on one drive. I know I must install Win 2000 before I install Windows XP. Maybe there is a step in the operating systems that will allow me to split the drive in two volumes? If I split the drive in to 2 volumes with 2 operating systems on it does that
mean I will have two letters on one drive?
thank you,

get a trial of partition magic and create another partition. then just install the second os on the other partition you just created.

I found that I could install 2 partitions on a single drive on
using maxblast3 software but I have ran into other problems.
I set my bios to boot off the cdrom for the maxblast software
and that works fine. When I try to reboot to one of the Win2000
or Win XP cdroms the system will not reconize them as a boot
disk. When I create a single partition for windows XP last week
it did reconize the the XP disk as a boot disk. That is puzzling
but now I have to figure how to boot to windows 2000 to get it
to install it.
Is there a way I can make a bootable floopy for win 2000 that
would reconize my cd rom to install Win 2000 when I am using
my Win Me operating system?
thank you,
doug,

there's an application on the win2000 disk called something like this: "bootdisk32.exe" i think its in the folder "bootdisk"
run this application and you can create 4 win2000 bootfloppys
