So take it back.

Which is unforunate because you probably voided the warranty by opening the case. Try anyways..

If it can post you can run UBCD to test the memory and find out if that's the actual problem. I find this much more convenient than swapping sticks (sometimes necessary).

He can barely keep his computer on let alone test his memory.

well i cant even get on the computer... i dont get a picture on the monitor...
