I just installed an old Tekram DC-315U PCI Ultra SCSI Host adapter in an HP a1110n Pavillion.
Connected to the SCSI host is a Canon DR-3060 (Scanner).
This PC is running Windows XP. It discovered the SCSI host adapter and I installed the drivers I located for it. The same goes for the Canon Scanner.
Whenever I dry to send a command to the scanner, the scanner makes a noise like it is preparing to work AND THEN the whole PC locks up. The mouse won't work, I cannot activate or disable the Num, Caps, or Scroll lock lights. It forces me to do a hard reboot.
Does this symptom sound like a driver error? Can you offer any resolutions?
