New laptop! Any tips?

Hi!

I just got a new laptop. It is a Dell Latitude D600. Do you guys have any tips for me? This is my first laptop (I am still a kid, but a tech enthusiast).

What operating system?

Clean it wil a can of air every few weeks. Don't eat or drink around it if possible, make sure to run an antivirus / spyware program, etc.
