1st Gaming pc! need some suggestions

I have a budget of up to $1000 but im hoping of getting something for closer to $800

I have a few things picked out i just wanna know what you guys think is better if you can suggest anything better

Case and extra fans:

I'll worry about the HDD later as i already have a 250 gb from my current pc and i use my HDTV as my monitor.
 
do you also need an OS?

i agree, it wouldnt be smart to build a skt 775 build right now. you should be able to get an i5 build.
 
either go i7 920 if you can afford it (best, but most expensive)
or Phenom 2
or the i5 750

LGA 1366 6GB of RAM
AM3 4GB
LGA 1156 4 GB

I like HD 5770 simply because it supports DX11


not worth getting the i7 860
still LGA 1156 socket = no triple channel RAM
no performance gain in games compared to i5 750 (if same clocks)

grab a big bad cooler if you want to OC

Its over budget but its ok.
Is there on this list now that you might consider changing?

Ah and for the future! what HDD do you recommend?

With this build will i be able to play games like, MW2, WoW, Halo, Crisis, and any other fps and RTS games on triple moniors with full settings? Probably not but pretty darn close right?
