I have an imac g4 that gets stuck on the apple screen with the spinning wheel. I have tried resetting the pram, and going into single user mode and repairing the volume. I lost the tiger install disks, i have the leopard disk, but I only have 256mb of ram, and no extra sticks laying around.

Specs:1ghz ppc g4
80gb hdd, 2.2 gb free
256mb ddr sdram
dvd-r/cdrw drive

thanks in advance

Hold down the Shift key while the mac is starting up, it'll take a while (mebbe even as long as 5 minutes) but eventually it should load. If it freezes while you're trying to do that too though, then you've got more issues.

If the above doesn't work, I'd suggest trying to get ahold of some new RAM.
