hey guys long time no see havent been on here sense 08 building my computer haha well now im back need some advice on a computer im building for a friend i got all the stuff picked out its around $1500 and he's buying me a monitor for helping him. Well heres the current stuff i picked out for him cuz he wants a good computer! Im going to start ordering tomarrow cuz he wants it asap plz help hehe

How "good" of a computer does your friend want? I only ask because for that same price you can pick up a good i5 or even an i7 build. Also, that GTS 250 isn't "bad" however if you are looking for "good" you can get better. I have all these words in quotes since their meaning varies by person.

Well we dont want to spend over 1500 and thats what its at atm cuz hes buying 2 monitors and keyboard/mouse which one of the mointors are mine. The video card i just picked that one cuz i have it and its great unless u can find one thats maybe better but not much more $. Lol ya the power supply was on sale

edit: well could u link me a good i7 build?

Trotter I think I'm going to get the first one i think it's alot better than the one I currently built myself and it's good for the price

this would include 1 single faster gfx card (hd 5850) instead of getting 2 mid end cards to being with. but even if your friend should want to run dual 5850's, this setup would be ready for that too.

still includes i7 920, same ram and mobo (referring to Trotter's combo here).

only thing is that the hdd i included is smaller (640gb). but for a bit more, you could get a 1tb
