I put a new wireless card inside my Mother's computer. I never had a problem with it, but she says that her wireless card resets while playing a small flash game.

I have a Linksys WRT54GL with DD-WRT. Never had a problem with my last card until recently.

I am running a slower speed on our DSL modem, because we can't get a higher speed. Being that we are too far from where the phone line connects. (768 Kbps downstream, 384 Kbps upstream)

Now, I have it set to WPA atm. I only put it to WPA because my PSP wouldn't connect to WPA2, but I don't use it online anymore. Would WPA2 be a stronger connection? Do i need to change anything else?

(I'm not sure where this would go, move it as you see fit)

When she says "Resets", what does she really mean?
does it lose connectivity? does it freeze up a bit then let her proceed?

Does she lose ALL connectivity? or just to the "game"?

just need to specify the "Reset".

No, it loses a connection with the router.

Her wireless connection goes dead, the lil wireless icon has a red "X" over it.

I did a test on wireless strength on my netbook, and i stayed within -50 to -62 dBl

I'll test that on her computer in a few. See what I get.

I'm running InSSider, btw.

edit: I got to a strong -35dBl.
