Keyboard question

Stupid question time guys, I heard it is ok to wash a keyboard inside a dishwasher, what about a washing machine? has anyone tried it or heard of someone doing this?

Do you guys think it would be safe to do so?

Doing either would fry your keyboard if you plug it back in, I would think. If it's dirty, take the keys out, and clean it, using something as compressed air.

A washing machine would be bad. Main reason is that the washing machine revolves. Which would send the keyboard in motion and knock it around. Possibly causing damage to the keyboard and making it unusable afterwards. Even worse could end up losing some keys in there like those socks that end up missing.
