Chain of Routers

What happens when you have a chain of routers connected to your pc? (as shown above)
I know port forwarding, along with other programs that require port forwarding, would be very difficult to set-up, but what else would result?

your IP is carried through each router. why would you have router after router? Isn't one enough?

Well, I have a router that acts as a "repeater". I'm just wondering about the side effects of doing this.

As long as your turn off dhcp so they act as a switch not a router you will be fine.

Well JT,

That scenario would be completely unnecessary and overkill unless you have the other ports of the routers taken up by PC's and you cannot afford to buy a switch.

There is almost no gain unless you have an INCREDIBLY large network...

But, nothing, you would just have to do a lot of port forwarding... It is far cheaper to buy a $20 switch any time you need something repeated....
