Quick one on VID cards

my video card only has a VGA slot. Can i plug a flat screen monitor (LCD monitor) into it? If so, then what is the DVI slot really for?

depends on what type of connection your LCD has. DVI is digital, it does not have has much signal loss as analog connections

what do most LCD monitors use (what kind of plug?)? DVI or VCD

DVI, but there are 2 different plugs, one wich only fits in a digital output and one that fits both....I don't know much about this...do a google for "dvi description" or something

My LCD monitor has both inputs, DVI and VGA, my video card has both DVI and VGA as well. I would use the DVI if possible.
