Ok well I got a new card today, PNY Geforce 9800 GT. I went to set it up, everything seemed ok until half way through downloading drivers the monitor went black and card made a funny noise. I shut it off, tried again and same thing. Realized afterward that the fan isn't running.
Now I meet all the minimum requirements of the card, and I think I plugged everything in right. There wasn't a spot for any power cord so it was basically just plug into the PCI slot and go.
Why would the fan not be running? Right now i'm thinking I just have bad card and need to exchange it but any other ideas or solutions are welcome. thanks.
