I'm thinking about the HDD capacity for a new PC.
I want to use the new drive for gaming and video editing, so basically I need a large drive.
What would you consider to be a reasonable amount of disk space?

:silly: Just out of curiosity, how many of you guys actually use more than half of your hard drives?
I've used 150GB of my 500GB drive so far.

Right now, I have 396GB IN my rig, and I use about 120GB IF that. I do some video editing, such as recording and creation of gameplay videos. I'd say if you're comfortable with 500GB keep it. Unless you're backing up a lot of data, you shouldn't see a whole lot of storage usage.

Large HD capacities are really cheap now.

You are hard pressed to find drives below 500 and 320 GB.

Even if you think you will never use x GB, go for a big drive anyways.

Its nice to have and its really cheap now.

Reasonable HDD capacity?

i don't think there is such a thing....

everyone's needs are different

I am a pack rat, very tempted to pickup a couple of 1TBs
