Hmm... there's a sense of enthusiasm in your response "gaming watever". Based on that, i will recommend you get a 5850, as it seems you're not a hard-core gamer, but at the same time the 5850 will be quite poweful for a time to come.


And like i said earlier, get 6 gigs of ram.


edit: after reading what i typed there, i see that it doesn't make much sense. I guess i wanted to say "lack of enthusiasm"... something like that..

I would agree with aliasaid, 5850 will be more than you need. Could you give us some examples of games that you would be playing, and at what res?
