Dead flash drive

Like the title says, i have a dead USB flash drive and i'm not sure how it died. When you plug it in, nothing happens. Windows doesn't do anything... doesn't try to read it or anything... so i'm guessing its pretty dead.

Here's the deal, there was some pretty important information on it, and yup, you guessed it, it wasn't backed up! Is there any way to salvage the info on there? I don't really care about the drive itself, just the info on it. Thanks for any help...

im sure you have done the basics.

Different usb ports,

Usb ports on the motherboard.

different computer?

yes of course, tried the ports front and back and on another computer.

If the device is not recognize by any PC then there isnt much that can be done. Short of paying a insane amount of money to have pros take a crack at recovering the data.

Ah, thats what i thought. Was hoping maybe i could open it up and somehow transfer something onto another flash....... you get the idea/fantasy.
