new build, no video

there is never any beeping. I have tried it without ram, same thing happened, no video and an ff code but no beeping.

I could try the power supply from my hp slimline but it is small, below the recommended wattage for this video card. Would I be able to try it for just a second? I guess I could run to bestbuy and purchase a power supply to test and return it.

Don't use the HP slim power supply, rma the motherboard or buy another power supply such as the ones recommended in the guide within my signature.

Well, I rma'd the motherboard today. I called a computer repair shop (Quick Connect) and they said they could test the power supply for me, free of charge. I also read your power supply guide, very helpful info, you did recommend OCZ like I have, I guess I'll know more tonight after I get it tested. Thank You

Right, but like I said before, just because a power supply is on the recommendation list doesn't mean it can't be DOA or go bad.

It just means its less likely to.
