avast antivirus in my opinion, but i heard PC-cillin is also very good.

I am a big fan or AVG as well as Norton. Im also a huge fan of trend Micros online virus scanner (located in my sig)

After seeing Norton's getting uninstalled by a virus, I have been McAffee all the way.

There is a few other issue with Norton's that i don't like.

Ditto. What good is an anti-virus package if a virus is able to neutralize it? I have yet to see McAfee disabled by a virus.

Oh, and then there are the countless install/uninstall issues with Norton that really compound my frustration with their most recent editions of the anti-virus software.

Don't forget another decent anti-virus package offered by Panda Software. I have used their free online virus checker countless times to rescue customers.

Sorry guys, but I can disable any anti-virus with a program, there is no 100% protection, Best bet is to use Norton AND KEEP IT UPDATED.

Panda looks nice, but dont be fooled it sux.
Mcafee is good too if your a soccer mom.
Auto protect is for noobs.
