No power on my PC

I have a dell PC that i use for work, it also acts as my POS at my business. One day i went to help a customer, when i came back to my office could smell electrical smell, looked a my monitor and it said a fatal error had occurred and the screen was blue. I turned the computer off and it has not started since. No Fans, not lights, no nothing. I called a computer guy, he thought maybe my motherboard was dead, the little light inside is on, but not sure where to go from here. any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Most likely it is a power supply problem. If it was the motherboard, wouldn't the lights and fans still come on?

Would you happen to have another power supply to try out?

You probably have a dead powersupply. This can be easily tested with a multimeter or another power supply. If you are lucky only the power supply is fried and it didn't damage your motherboard.
