right guys i have the mioney and i have an idea of what i want

Coolermaster CM-590 Case Plus CM eXtreme 500W PSU - Ebuyer this case and psu bundle at 69.99

Intel Core i7 920 D0 2.66GHz Socket 1366 8MB Cache Retail Boxed Processor - Ebuyer that cpu at 214

also this gpu but i dotn really play games on my comp so i only wanted a cheap gpu to be honest
Asus 9400GT 512MB DDR2 VGA DVI HDMI PCI-E Graphics Card Low Profile - Ebuyer

that all equals to 326 pound

and i have 515 pound

so i need your help for some ram and mobo

and then once i get paid again i will upgrade the gpu and ram a bit more

thanks for your help

bower

that would work out a lot dear though, do u think ican achieve a nice build though with the 515 budget ??

There are good power supplies that are cheap, just look at the power supply guide linked in my signature for brand suggestions.

for your budget I would stick to

Antec
Silverstone
Corsair
Enermax
Fortron
Rosewill

could someone help me design a build then please ?? i would like the i7 and have abudget of 515 and dont really liek to pc game

A bit tough on the budget but for board:
ASUS P6T SE iX58 Socket 1366 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard - Ebuyer 139 pounds
Would prefer the vanilla p6t

ram:
OCZ 6GB (3x2GB) DDR3 1333MHz/PC3-10666 Platinum XTC Triple Channel Memory Kit CL7 1.65V - Ebuyer 85 pounds
would prefer 1600 speed but these are cas7 so you could loosen the timings and speed them up a bit. Or if no overclocking do not worry about it.

case:
Antec 300 Three Hundred Case - Ebuyer 40

psu:
Antec 430W Basiq Power PSU - Dual 12V Rails PCI-E and SATA Connectors - Ebuyer 35

cpu:
i7 920 214 pounds

your gpu: 32 pounds

Total 545 pounds and that was cutting a lot of corners. I am assuming you have hard drives and dvd drives as well as a 64bit OS.

Not what I would normally recommend but was trying to make it work with your budget.

thankyiou very much, i did look at that mobo but i saw the gigabyte version and was goin gto go for that
what made you change your mind

also ihow did you find out what ram would work with this as i didnt have aclue lool

Why not buy a i5 or even a i7 860? It will be cheaper.

Mobo: Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3R iP55 Socket 1156 8 channel audio ATX Motherboard - Ebuyer - 104£ Only for one GPU but since you're not gaming

CPU: Intel Core i5 750 2.66GHz Socket LGA1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor - Ebuyer - 144£
or
Intel Core i7 860 2.8GHz Socket LGA 1156 8MB L3 Cache Retail Boxed Processor - Ebuyer - 211£

RAM: RAM | DDR Memory | PC Memory | Computer Memory - Ebuyer.com - 80£

HDD: Western Digital WD5001AALS 500GB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache - OEM Caviar Black - Ebuyer - 42£

And taking Hefe suggestions:
case: Antec 300 Three Hundred Case - Ebuyer - 40£

PSU: Antec 430W Basiq Power PSU - Dual 12V Rails PCI-E and SATA Connectors - Ebuyer - 35£

your gpu: 32£

i5 950 build: 477£
i7 860 build: 544£

You can cut 42£ if you already have the hdd.

Also assuming you already have dvd drives and OS.

The i5/i7 860 build would be very nice as well. The 920 would keep you in the higher end socket but the i5 750 or i7 860 are great choices.

As for the ram, well we just know. :) ddr3 x3 for 1366 and x2 for 1156

also ihow did you find out what ram would work with this as i didnt have aclue lool

The process normally goes like this if you dont know what works with what. Find the cpu you want and discover what socket it has. Lets say you want the core-i7 920, look under the specifications of that cpu and you will find it has socket 1366.
Now you look for a motherboard, sorting out first that its an intel motherboard, then sort by socket 1366 and find a mobo you want.
Now looking at the motherboard specifications it will tell you what ram is compatible with it.
6 x DIMM, Max. 24 GB, DDR3 2000(O.C.)*/1866(O.C.)*/1800(O.C.)*/1600(O.C.)/1333/1066 Non-ECC,Un-buffered Memory
Triple channel memory architecture
This quote was taken from ASUS P6T SE iX58 Socket 1366 8 Channel Audio ATX Motherboard - Ebuyer mobo.
So now you look for ram sorting that its ddr3 in triple channel config. i.e. 3x2gb or 3x1gb (that is 3 sticks of ram, each stick being 2gb or 1gb)
