Whirlwind Fully Optimized Messages 2,400 Dec 2, 2009 #1 I just flashed my mobo bios to the latest version so I can put in a new cpu. It says it flashed ok and it was going to reboot.....on reboot it does not recognize my usb keyboard or my lcd monitor. I cant get to anything now because monitor wont come on?

Ste Do not Stare at my Avatar Messages 9,578 Location Upon Gleaning Infinity Dec 2, 2009 #2 reset the cmos and reboot, if that doesn't work youll need a usb to ps/2 converter to enable USB keyboard support in the cmos. Can also try another keyboard.

I ran cpuz and it says that indeed I have my new bios....so i assume all is good to go when I get my new cpu...correct? Thanks again for the help.

KSoD Call me Mak or K, Mod Emeritus Messages 35,644 Location C:\ Dec 3, 2009 #4 I would be careful. As Windows may throw a fit when you get the new CPU. It may give some issues or may even require you to activate again.
