I just flashed my mobo bios to the latest version so I can put in a new cpu.

It says it flashed ok and it was going to reboot.....on reboot it does not recognize my usb keyboard or my lcd monitor.

I cant get to anything now because monitor wont come on?

reset the cmos and reboot, if that doesn't work youll need a usb to ps/2 converter to enable USB keyboard support in the cmos.

Can also try another keyboard.

Thanks for the info Ste....I reset the cmos and all is good.

I ran cpuz and it says that indeed I have my new bios....so i assume all is good to go when I get my new cpu...correct?

Thanks again for the help.

I would be careful. As Windows may throw a fit when you get the new CPU. It may give some issues or may even require you to activate again.

Well it is a annoyance. But it could also prove to be much more. could get a boot error as well. Sometimes Windows just doesnt like a CPU swap. Figured i would mention it now.

Thanks ....for the info...I do have a legit copy of windows.

CPU should be here by this time next week or shortly there after.....If I have any trouble....I know where to come.

Thanks guys.

Awsome avatar by the way Mak213
