g5 mouse

i recently bought a g5 mouse and when i start my computer my dpi settings is on the middle light (which is where it should be based on my settings in set point). Once i log into my computer after start up my mouse dpi settings go to the lowest level. when i go back into set point to adjust it, it is showing that the settings are the same but the mouse cursor is extremely slow. when i try to adjust it, it wont change. Is there any fix to this? I hope i explained this right.

I've had that problem before. I solved it by reinstalling setpoint.

I used to have that problem. Super annoying. A reboot always fixed it for me.
