Ugrading RAM in my desktop

I am thinking of upgrading the RAM in my current desktop at home and I was wondering if there would be any problems with using this RAM that I found on newegg for my sony Vaio (desktop).

Here is the RAM I was looking at on newegg:

I am just making sure that there won't any problems with me using this RAM with my desktop. I am wanting to upgrade from 512MB of RAM to 2GB.

You won't be able to use that RAM in your desktop because that is DDR2 (PC6400) and your computer can only use DDR (PC3200) RAM modules.

Is your desktop the 2 DIMM slot or the 4 DIMM slot model?
