I have an Intel DX48BT2 board and every once in a while when I turn it on, it gives me the beeps which say that there is no memory present, even though the computer has plenty of RAM and it worked fine the day before. Usually unplugging every stick and putting it back in does the trick. Other times I have to reset the CMOS. I also tried another batch of sticks and it still does it once in a while.

I unplugged all peripherals just in case so there is no DVD, scanner, cameras, printers connected any more. Also running latest BIOS and MemTest shows my memory is solid.

Probably the motherboard is dieing.

Nothing you can do unless your willing to replace it.

And Im guessing it is out of warranty..

I had a feeling it was gonna be that. I had the board for a little over a year, and looking at their website it looks like this board has a three year warranty, so I might be in luck.

That's the problem, the whole computer was a gift for Christmas, and I have no receipt or invoice. Do you still think they will support it?

Im pretty sure they need proof of purchase, so contact the people you got it from and see if they have it.

If not try to explain that to the intel warranty people.
