Anyone know of a good deal at the moment for a system in the 250-300 range? My wife needs it for general office type work and surfing, no gaming or anything. I will probably put Win 7 pro or ultimate on it and upgrade my PC with Win 7 too, they will be networked together.

This is about the best one I have found, I can get a monitor from them for another $80 or so.

This one looks decent too but I'm not sure about the CPU. Has a monitor.

After thinking about it I may go up to $400. I may go for a build but I figured it may be cheaper to just buya system since it is lower end.

Inspiron Zino HD
Base model starts at $229 w/Athlon 2650e, Vista Basic, 2GB RAM, 250GB HD, DVD+/-RW, HD3200 GFX. bump it up to an Athlon X2 3250e for $60, Win7 Home Premium 64-bit for $30, 4GB RAM for $69 for a total of $388.

Thanks for the info and links guys. I like both options it gives me something to think about.

If I were to immediatly upgrade to Win 7 before I even used the PC could I sell the copy of Vistaor is it like a bundled version where you can only install it on a specific PC? I've always built up to this point so I have never bought a premade system.

lol, that is a POS package. Extremely old and crappy parts! Definitely look elsewhere.
