Don't order the gtx 295 though. It's a dual GPU card, so it uses more power, more noise, more heat, and more money. While the 5870 is about equal to it now, the 5870 will get better with time. Since it is a DX11 card (while the 295 is DX10) its more future proof. But there aren't many DX11 games out yet , and the drivers aren't up to par yet.

so if i purchase the card u mentioned everything should work fine? not sure what u mean by drivers not up to par.

Well since you're waiting until Dec. 22nd, you'll have time to decide. What he meant by the drivers aren't up to par is that the 5870 will get better over time as newer drivers are released.
