3-2-1 CLEAR! ZAP….it's alive! Thanks to Trotter for unlocking and reviving this old thread for me, those who were following will remember I had to put the project on hold due to weather. The unheated garage means no painting much of the year.
Anyways, as the weather warms up it's time to finish this off. Despite the time passing I still don't like these feet I made and so I figured it's time to start again. Not sure where I first saw this, it was a while back and I think it was over at mnpctech.com, to whoever it was…gracias.
So starting off with the hole saw and cutting out a number of black and orange discs:
Then using a bolt I glue them together with acrylic fast drying adhesive:
You can really see how rough that hole saw cut is. So 15 minutes later…time to start sanding them to an even finish on the belt sander, sorry for the poor photo, hard to tell on that little lcd if the focus is good, need a new camera:
The finish is so much better already:
But still, so much more sanding to go…another update soon.
