I know it could be a number of things but does anyone have a suggestion? It started about 7 days ago that my computer would just restart by itself. It did this several times in a short period. Now it has only done it a couple of times in the last several days. What does it sound like?

My temps are at highest at load 48-50 and 30 to 42 at idle on the different cores.
I got my first BS this morning after unchecking the the restart box after error. How do I read it?

I have sometimes seen this happen when a capacitor on the mobo near the cpu goes bad. Try looking at them and see if the tops of any of them are bulging. It's not a very common thing but it is easy to check.

Cause

Bug check 0x50 usually occurs after the installation of faulty hardware or in the event of failure of installed hardware (usually related to defective RAM, be it main memory, L2 RAM cache, or video RAM).

Another common cause is the installation of a faulty system service.

Antivirus software can also trigger this error, as can a corrupted NTFS volume.

farinha was on it. Run memtest Memtest86+ - Advanced Memory Diagnostic Tool

The two most likely causes of the BSOD is ram and drivers. This time you have the former.
